The Supercomputing Center serves as a scientific tool to answer the most complex questions that nature poses to us, from the largest to the smallest, from the most complex to the simplest.

Currently our researchers use it to:

ATLAS
13,400 cores
85 TeraBytes of RAM
+ 400 users
  • Discover new materials with advanced properties
  • Simulate the formation of the Universe, galaxies and black holes
  • Analyze the functioning of the brain
  • Calculation of nanostructures and various molecules
  • Artificial intelligence
  • Quantum computing
  • Study elementary particles, such as neutrinos

ATLAS is the supercomputer with the highest capacity at the Center.

The Center's computing resources are at the service of all the research community of the Basque Country, 24 hours a day, 365 days a year. In addition to access to high-performance computing (HPC) systems, the Supercomputing Center provides support for scientific applications, IT services, data storage, and web page hosting.
